Question by serenity_ii: Are there nighttime training pants with more capacity?
Sometimes my two-year-old son sleeps a long time at night (sometimes he doesn’t take a nap during the day or takes it at an unusual time). Lately he’s been experiencing leaks whether we use Easy-Ups or nighttime Pull-Ups. Does anybody know of a solution? I’ve considered putting a cloth diaper doubler in a Pull-Up so it has more capacity and he can feel the wetness (and therefore learn to hold it until he gets to the toilet), but my main goal is to help him keep getting the sleep he needs.
He has started using the toilet–he’ll use it anywhere up to around five times a day–but he’s not really consistent about it yet, and I don’t want to push him.
If the training pants aren’t bothering him and he’s sleeping all right, I don’t see the point in taking him for a change; it just disturbs his sleep, and then he doesn’t want to go back to bed. If he showed discomfort, of course I’d want to get him a change to make him feel better.
My son started out in mainly cloth diapers; he’ll outgrow the biggest covers we could find for them soon. He’ll also soon outgrow size 6 diapers. So regular diapers aren’t really an option.
