My friend’s little sister is 11 and still wets the bed.She is a VERY sound sleeper and doesn’t even wake up from a loud alarm!No I don’t make fun of because she is going to the doctor’s and TRYING to find a soloution that actully works.They have been doing no drinks after 7:00pm.The girl trys to get up but she can’t.They tried the alarm that goes to your underwear but that only wakes the whole house up and not the girl.And the parents took turns sleeping in the room to wake her up which worked but the parents got sick of doing it!I think her next resort will be drugs!Do you think it will be gone once she hits her period?And I know this is normal but will she out grow it?

Question by Jill P: Potty training when toddler prefers to poop standing up?
My son is only 16 months old, so we’re not planning to start potty training anytime real soon, but he is exhibiting a few of the signs of readiness so I know it’s not too far off. The thing is, he always gets into a standing position before pooping. Most other toddlers I know prefer to squat, but my son prefers to stand. Will this make potty training harder for him, or will he easily learn to do it while sitting?

I don’t remember about my daughters, but I know my son always stood to poop. He’s almost 2 1/2, and his potty training is going just fine. Ever since we caught that first poop in the potty, he’s pooped fine there ever since. He’s actually more consistent about pooping in the potty than he is about getting there in time to pee.

Your son will figure it out.
