Question by Potterhead. c:: My 8 year old boy… Need some advice.?
I have twins. A boy and a girl. Christian and Angeline. Most of this targets toward Christian, who is the bigger twin of the two.
My daughter has always wet her bed about three times a week since she was potty trained when she was two. We took her to doctors and she just has an undeveloped bladder, they said she should stop when shes about 10. My son on the other hand, had never wet his bed, EVER, until a month ago. He woke up one Thursday morning I think, walked into my room with soaked pants and said “Mommy, I peed my bed.” Like as casual as ever! I said “What?” and he just said “Yeah, I peed while I was sleeping.” So I just said, okay Chris go get in the shower and I’ll clean it up.” So I thought that would’ve been it, a one time thing, but the next morning it was the same routine. So on Friday [We live in NY so we had off] I sat him down and said “Christian, what’s wrong?” he just sat there and shrugged and walked away. So I went out to the store and bought GoodNights for him. After we eat dinner they [Lina & Chris] put on their pajamas and goodnights and we allow them to watch TV in the living room with us until they fall asleep. So at 8:30 which is their bedtime, This was the first night Chris was going to wear his goodnights, so My husband who wasn’t so convinced with his whole act checked both their “diapers” Pull-ups what ever they’re technically called, Lina’s was still dry, but Chris’s was not, his was soaked all the way through already. So he had to put on another one. Now it’s a month later and he’s still wetting every night. AND the other day I caught him going to school in a “diaper”. I took him to the doctor to see if there was anything wrong but the doctor said he’s fine.
It’s not like we give Lina more attention, he’s just doing it, I’m a stay at home mom, I give them a bunch of attention. He has a lot of friends and he’s a great student.
Why do you guys think he’s doing this?

Maybe a bully at school. Somebody might be picking on him. Make him use the potty before he goes to bed and nothing to drink. Tell him he’s a big boy and needs to use the toilet. Tell him you’ll give him a special treat if he does’nt wet himself for a week or something like that. Good luck.
