From the advertising on this particular product, I assumed the wetness liner was suppose to make the toddler uncomfortable enough to realize that he/she was wet and to learn to prevent “wetness”. At one point, i did check and it did feel cool to the touch as it was wet. However, my daughters (twins) didn’t mind the coolness and it wasn’t effective as I originally thought it to be. Huggies and Pampers both have similar diapers, so if I were to purchase these again, I would compare prices and go with the cheaper ones. There’s no need to buy these if they are more expensive. As for leakage and lining, both Huggies and Pampers are about the same. One doesn’t hold up significantly better than the other. One real advantage of Huggies tho, is their velcro lining. My girls are thinner than the average baby, so it helps to be able to adjust the pull ups a little even tho the banding is stretchable.

My husband accidently bought “learning designs” and I couldn’t fugure out why my little one was suddenly wetting her pullups. Then when I bought Cool Alert I noticed with just a few drops she grabs the diaper and alerts me she has to go potty! When kids are playing and watching TV they need this acute reminder or they will just go potty in their diaper–old habits…..

While I’m no fan of Huggies diapers (we quickly switched to Pampers after growing tired of the leaks), I had to comment on the reviewer who said “after your child goes in them once they sag so bad you have to go change them”. ???? Why would you want to leave your child uncomfortable in a wet/dirty diaper simply because it WASN’T sagging? Reminds me of the old joke “but Doctor, it SAID it holds 12-18 lbs??!!”.

    Anyway…

Now that we’re potty training, we’ve become Huggies fans. We LOVE the Pull-ups. They work great for us. No leaks, they hold up well to a few pull-ups and pull-downs, and I do believe the wetness liner is helping to make potty training easier.

I love these for my toddler. I hate having to use regular diapers when we are working on using the bathroom like a big girl. These are much easier to use than old fashion diapers.

I thought this was something different than the cool alert pull-ups since it is called wetness liner on the site. But, when I got the product, it was indeed the cool alert pull-ups. The cool alert does not seem to phase our daughter any more than wetting in a regular diaper. They are easier to pull up and down for the several unsuccessfull trips to the potty chair, but other than that, we have seen no real difference. I was hoping the wetness liner would help, but obviously these have either been discontinued or was just an old name for cool alert.

I would not recommend this doll to anyone. She leaks everywhere and she doesn’t pee, no matter what you do (believe me, I tried.) So you have water coming out of the arms, legs, neck–basically everywhere but where it should. The bottles were made so cheaply that one of them had a little hole in the side when we opened the package so it squirted everywhere when you tried to feed her. My daughter couldn’t put the bottle into the baby’s mouth by herself (it’s kind of tricky) so I did it for her. I was disappointed that the anatomically correct features looked like a normal doll with a little hole. Basically, she didn’t do what she needed to do, so I resorted to using a different doll not specifically made for the purpose, “feeding” the other doll with empty bottles, and then surreptitiously holding a nose syringe filled with water behind the doll’s back to make it look like she was peeing. I also dropped whoppers into the toilet to make it look like the doll had pooed. I would console myself about paying such a high price for a useless doll with the fact that at least it’s a doll my daughter can play with, but she’s ugly as sin, and I’m embarrassed to have my daughter seen with her. At least the doll’s clothes are nice and I can use them and the underwear with a different doll.

I bought this doll because of its “potty on demand” feature. I also liked that this doll resembled a toddler, was anatomically correct, and came with extra training pants.

Parents should figure out how to operate the doll BEFORE sharing this doll with their child. The doll has to drink the water slowly, otherwise it will leak. Also, it has to have quite a bit of water to have a steady stream when you want it to potty. Have this doll prepared to wet before using her as a teaching tool. I only have the doll wear the training pants, otherwise the clothes can get wet when we try to feed it.

The first day we used this doll, my daughter and I threw a party for the doll each time it used the potty. I gave the doll stickers on a sticker chart. My daughter wanted the stickers as well and was eager to try to go potty to fill the chart up. It used to be a struggle to get my daughter to agree to try to go to the potty. It isn’t now. I ask her if her doll needs to go potty, and after we have the doll go, my daughter is eager to go as well. Other times my daughter will tell me that the doll has to potty, which is usually an indicator that my daughter actually is the one who has to go. The doll seemed to make the experience less scary.

I also liked the extra training pants. Sometimes when my daughter is trying to feed the doll the training pants get a little wet. While changing the doll into dry training pants I talk with my little girl about how sometimes we have accidents when learning to use the potty. This doll is pretty cute as well. Even if it wasn’t as successful as it was, my daughter would gladly have it as part of her doll collection

I bought this doll to aid in teaching my daughter potty training. It is terrible. First, it is difficult to get any water in it without most of it leaking out of the mouth. Second, unless the doll is perfectly still and perfectly vertical, the doll leaks. In addition, after trying to demonstrate how to go potty with the doll, the doll leaks as you stand it up, leaks as you pull up her underwear, etc. So, try explaining to your daughter that one is not supposed to leak…there was water everywhere. This doll did not do it’s job and I would not recommend it to anyone. Please don’t waste your money.

Bought this for Potty Training prep. for my 2 1/2 year old. It is very difficult (for me, an adult…impossible for a toddler) to get the water from the bottle into the baby. What little water I was able to coerce into her, filled up her leg cavity or leaked out of the seams of her legs. I am returning. Waste of time and money. Junk!
