Wait untill they are ready! If she is it will work. If you try and she isnt interested or doesnt get it just yet…stop and wait a while. I personally dont think it is worth monts and months of accidents and stress to try and potty train a child that isnt ready.
My daughter is hard headed…very! I tried for a week when she was a little over 2, she didnt go for it. I stopped, waited a few months, gave her the speech took her shopping to pick out her undies. the next day i asked her if she wanted to be a big girl and wear her new undies, she said yes and that was it….potty trainied. Only 3 accidents in about 2 weeks than none.

The potty training business isn’t something that can go by really fast, but it can be done well. Try reading children’s books with them for a few nights or so, just so she has some inspiration. Then tell her to let you know when she has to go potty. when she does tell her to try sitting on the potty like the kids in the books. It might take a little bit, and there is no really fast way, but taking it at a good pace is great! Then the child feels less pressured but it doesn’t take forever. Hope this helps!

Introduce her to the wonderful world of panties!! Once my daughter (2 yrs) wore her first pair of panties, she was hooked. Be patient though because she may get lazy after a while. My daughter would go to the potty all week and then the next week she got lazy and would pee on herself. Also if you have older kids or relatives that are potty-trained let her see what they do when they potty..that also helped for my daughter she saw the big kids go and she wanted to do what they did…It takes time and patience, don’t give up….Good Luck!

my sitter potty trained my 18 month old daughter in 3 weeks. The first week she took her and sat her on the potty every hour. The next week it was every 2 hours and the 3rd week it was every 3 hours. She did really well with her and I was very happy! You can even go longer by upping the the hours you wait. The only issue was pooing on the potty. She was actually scared to poo in the potty. I remember her pooing in her pull up and I actually had her sit in it for a while after I smooshed it (if you know what I mean) She absolutely hated that! I changed her after about 25 minutes and never had a problem after that.
Good Luck!

First of all do not use Pull Ups. Put her in old fashioned training pants so that when she wets herself, she FEELs wet. Give her a lot to drink while you’re home with her, so she goes a lot, talk about her going in the potty, sitting on the potty , etc. Put her on it as soon as she wakes up and if she goes in it, praise her well and loudly – they just love this! During the day keep reminding her that she’s using the potty now and to let you know when she needs it. When she has an accident, and there will be many, ask her “Doesn’t that feel icky, gross, cold, wet”, whatever, and then just clean her up and change her into a clean pair of training pants. Keep the house warm so that she can run around in just the training pants and maybe some socks, or cut some of your or your husbands old ones into leg warmers for her. This will save you a lot of laundry. Good luck!

Some useful tips for potty training are described here below. It would not be the fastest method as you would like to but it would be easier way for you to start potty training your daughter.
Hope this would help and good luck.

Oh yes!
Have you tried the “Potty Training in 3 days”?
I was here some time ago asking a question about how to potty-train my 26-month son because I really have a difficulty making him use the potty or be potty-trained, so I asked a question on how to successfully and effectively have him potty trained. Then an user by the name “mom_of_4″ recommended me that.
I tried and though they said he can be potty-trained in 3-days, mine took roughly around 5 days. And it has been very successful! I’ve been recommending that book to my friends even!

Get a book by Gina Ford, called Potty Training in One Week. It helped me. Although my daughter isn’t completely trained, she still has about 2 accidents a day. She doesn’t wear diapers other than nap times.
