Question by Incognito: If day time potty training and night time potty training did not happen?
simultaneously for you little one, when did they start being dry at night?

My first daughter just did them both at the same time, but my second has been daytime trained for nearly 6 mo and still SOAKS a diaper at night. My MIL tells me that my hubby was a bed wetter until age *gasp* 7.

If thats the case stop giving her liquids at a certain time like 6pm. Make sure before she goes to bed she uses the bathroom. And check on her before you go to bed.

  1. Mommy of 5 Says:

I agree with the first answer. Limit her fluids 2 hours before bedtime make going potty the last thing she does at night and the first thing she does in the morning. If you happen to have plastic sheets you could try putting her in panties for bed. With my oldest son for some reason if he went to bed in pull-ups or a diaper he would wet every time, but in underwear it was less often.

Bed wetting even at 7 isn’t really as uncommon as it sounds. Some children their bladder control just developed later than others. When we are a sleep we don’t have as much control of our bodies as we do when we are awake, and in sleep we miss signals that we would get had we been awake.

  2. Me, myself and I Says:

My oldest was out of diapers in the daytime at 2 and a half, and by 3 was out of diapers at night.

My daughter is 4 years old, and has been day timed potty trained since 2.5. She STILLS pees in a pull up every night. She has never, ever woken up dry her entire life : (

I have tried just putting her to bed in underwear, tried limiting liquids, everything, and she just can’t seem to wake up to go to the bathroom.

I hope that H isn’t a bed wetter until 7, but it isn’t looking promising right now

My daughter did things backwards. She was consistently waking up dry by about 15 months, but didn’t start using the potty during the day until right around her 3rd birthday.

  5. Ava and Jaidyn's Mommy Says:

My daughter did this too. I started waking her and taking her to pee around midnight before I went to bed. We used pull ups for bedtime to make it easier. She usually didnt even wake up i would just pull her pants down and sit her on her potty and she would pee then I would wipe her and pull her pants up and put her in her bed. That is around the time she started staying dry. Then as she got a little older she wouldnt pee when I took her so I quit taking her and she continued to stay dry.
