The main thing to remember before you start potty training is that your child will succeed. Maybe not in your time-line or as quickly as you’d prefer; but they will learn. Question by Kat: Why a potty trained child poops in his pants at home but not in daycare?
He won’t poop in daycare at all, but when he comes home he poops in his pants at home. Is he asking for attention. Please, reply if you had experience with this situation or a professional. Thank you.

my daughter is 26 months and not quite potty trained yet… she will wee in the toilet or potty some times but always poos in her nappy and she ALWAYS goes behind the couch at home or the curtain in her room to do it. if we are away from home she will whine that she wants to go home and will hold on for as long as possible. i think she just doesn’t like to poo in strange places… perhaps your son is the same.
