Question by Kat: What’s a good brand of cotton training pants that’s affordable and will endure many washes?
We are potty training our son, but would like to purchase some of the cotton training underwear that is more absobant in the middle. We already did some searches, but apparently the most common brands are either not very absorbant, or they don’t handle the washes well.

I am not looking for 100% absorbsion, else we’d still use diapers. But we’re looking for something that will handle most accidents so that our carpets can be spared!!!

Question by Hannah’s mommy: Cloth pull-ups/training pants for potty training…any recommendations or ideas?
I may start potty training my 20month old daughter soon, and I am starting to get ideas, etc.

I was thinking of using cloth pull-ups/training pants. Disposable pull-ups seem pointless if she won’t feel wet. I was thinking that if I used cloth, she would feel wet, but not soak her clothes.

I saw online that there are Bummis training pants, and they looked pretty good.

Does anyone have any ideas for cloth pull-ups/training pants or any other helpful hints for potty-training?

I have asked this in a cloth diapering forum on Yahoo groups, but nobody answered my question

What I always do is get a todler potty from wal-mart and panties, put them on her ask her every minute if she needs to go to the potty, she will be like “what ever” at first but after a few accidents she will relize it is serious. A few mistakes will happen here and there at first but she will get the hang of it. Give her stickers or somthing she loves when she uses the potty, but if she makes a mistake comfort her and let her know that everything is ok and you still love her rather than yelling at her. But at first give her the training pull-ups that get cold when she gonna pee until she gets the hang of it a little more.
