Question by L80bug: Am I on the right track with potty training?
My daughter will be 2 on the 7th of Dec. She has been interested in the potty for about 3 or 4 months now. She likes to sit on it, but doesn’t try to do anything. We’ve talked about what the potty is for and I think she is starting to understand, but she still seems to think it is just a game. Considering her interest, I know she will be trained soon, but what are some tips I could follow to get her to move on to the next step? She is stubborn, so I cannot just put her on the potty if she doesn’t want to. Besides, I don’t want her to feel like it is a punishment or anything.

I didnt do anything with my daughter. I let her watch the Potty video everyday 1 time. One day she just went to the potty and i sang “Pee Pee on the Potty”over and over again and she got excited. Ever since she has been doing it. she was 2.5 years old. You can get the potty video at Chapters or Indigo! Trust me, it works! Your right, you should never force the child to sit on the potty, when its time, its time, they will do it on their own.
