What worked best for your toddler when potty training?
I have been looking and I either find somewhat absorbent undies or a cover to go over undies.
Not sure if I should get both or if there is something else out there?

Skip those, save the money, and just use underwear. Yeah it’s a mess, but it helps them potty train faster since they don’t like the wet feeling of soaked cotton. The whole absorbancy thing just prolongs the potty training.

buy both if you can you will need all the protection you can get lol

Use regular undies. Actually, buy the cheapest underwear you can find because when the kid poops in them you will want them to be disposable! The expensive, extra absorbent training pants are really no better than regular underwear if the kid is really ready to potty train. If they are ready the process is only a few days until they get it and have few accidents. When they pee in their pants you will have to change everything on the bottom half whether they are wearing thick training pants or plain undies.
